The Festival of World Sacred Music, held every June in the holy city of Fes Morocco, attracts international artists and concertgoers. Styles of music range from local Sufi chants to Qawalli music from Pakistan to African songs of love and hope - and audiences are entranced by the amazing surroundings and uplifting sounds from around the world. In many cases, there will be double-bills, or collaborations between artists, which create new sounds. This music festival takes place in June but every year has different dates. There are wide varieties of activities during the festival, including spectacular performances, children's educational activities and the famous Sufi nights at Dar Tazi.
